The author’s previous publications are Hayford Hall: Hangovers, Erotics, and Modernist Aesthetics (Southern Illinois UP, 2005), a book of essays about Peggy Guggenheim, Djuna Barnes, Antonia White, and Emily Coleman, co-edited with Elizabeth Podnieks.

Seeking Salaam: Ethiopians, Eritreans, and Somalis in the Pacific Northwest (UW Press, 2011), based on interviews with more than forty East African immigrants living in Seattle and Portland.

At present, she is putting the last touches to another African book, this time a historical novel about a legendary figure in South Africa believed to be the son of King George III.

In the meanwhile, her latest book, Old Bean’s Last Fantasy: A Late-Life Coming-of-Age Story (Lioncrest Publishing, an imprint of Scribe Media) is now available.
